MUST READ: 3 Conclusions of Southwest Govs and Obas during security meeting in Ibadan - Security

On Saturday 20/02/2021, Oyo state host south-west governors and traditional rulers to address the security situation and agreed on three key point.

Mr. Taiwo Adisa Chief Press Secretary to Governor Seyi Makinde stated that Gov. Akeredolu read a three communique point agreed on after the meeting;

Due to bad weather Chief of Staff to President Muhammad  Buhari, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, IG Muhammed Adamu and Director General of DSS, Yusuf Bichi couldn't make it to Ibadan to attend the meeting - Akeredolu 

Executive Council Chambers of the Governor Office of Oyo State, Agodi, where the meeting was held had attendance of five governors, Governor Akeredolu of Ondo, Governor Kaylee Fayemi of Ekiti, Governor Abiodun of Ogun state, Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Ogun state and the host Governor Seyi makinde of Oyo state, Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of South-West, David Folawiyo.

Traditional rulers in each of the south-west with top monarchs was in attendance as to find solution to the insecurity in southwest, Traditional rulers include the Oba Fredrick Akinruntan; Olubadan of Ibadan, Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III; Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi; Akarigbo of Remo, Oba Babatunde Ajayi; Olugbo of Ugbo kingdom,  Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunnjso 1; and Olugbon of Orile Igbon,  Oba Francis Olusola Alao. 
 
Other in attendance was the Oyo State Commisional of Police, Ngozi Onadeko with other heads of security agencies in Oyo state were present at the meeting.

President Muhammadu Buhari has Appoint Ogboonaya Orji as NEITI boss, effective from 19/02/2021 for a single term of 5 years

Director information Willie Bassey in the Office of Secretary to the Government of the Federation on Thursday said the appointment was in accordance with the provision of section 12 (2) (a) and 6 (3) of the Nigeria Industries Transparency Initiative.  The appointment of Dr. Ogbonnaya Orji as the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative for a single term of five year was Approved by the President Muhammadu Buhari which take effect from February 19, 2021  NEITI was established in 2004 as the key anti-corruption agency at the presidency responsible for enthroning transparency, accountability of the country's oil, gas and mining industries.
